Prince George’s Community College is the number one choice of Prince George’s County residents for an undergraduate education and the leading institution in training and preparing employees for the county’s workforce. Since 1958, the college has provided students, the county, and region with high quality and affordable education, cutting-edge workforce and development training and the opportunity to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Prince George’s Community College serves a diverse population of more than 44,000 students who represent 103 countries throughout the world. The college offers more than 200 academic and workforce development and continuing education programs of study, and transfer and scholarship opportunities to four-year colleges and universities. Students can earn associate degrees, certificates, letters of recognition, and licensures. At Prince George’s Community College, student success is the highest priority. The college is committed to promoting opportunities for students to succeed inside and outside of the classroom!
Commencement is one of the College’s most momentous events. It is held the last Thursday of each year in May. The ceremony provides an opportunity to bring the college community together to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and to commend them on their achievements. It recognizes the dedication and commitment of our faculty, staff and administrators to the success of our students. During this special occasion, families and friends are also recognized for the support they have provided our graduates in assisting them with accomplishing their goals.
The Commencement App will allow graduates to access up-to-date information quickly and in one location directly from their electronic devices. It will also provide the opportunity to send out notifications to those graduating as needed.
